The centrepiece of this beautiful "picture postcard" village is The Green which is overlooked by thatched cottages and the magnificent medieval church of St Mary's.

Cavendish is also home to the Sue Ryder Foundation and there is a museum dedicated to its history.

There are two great places to eat in Cavendish, The Bull Inn and the George, both within a ten minute walk from Embleton House.
